Why does my Trampoline make my feet turn black?
If you’ve noticed that your feet (or your children’s feet) are getting dirty and black after jumping, it’s likely because the trampoline mat has accumulated dirt over time. You probably already suspected that, but here’s a handy tip on how to get it clean and keep it looking great.
Steps to cleaning your Trampoline Mat
Simply rinsing the mat off with water might not do the job completely, so it’s recommends a more thorough cleaning process.
- Rinse the trampoline off with just water
- Use a scrub brush and add some dish soap (Dawn is our go to for tough jobs)
- Be sure to scrub not only the top but the bottom of the mat too! This is an easy task getting under the trampoline but it is a perfect job for the kiddos!!
- Rinse off with a power washer to blast that dirt away but if you don’t have access to a power washer a high powered nozzle will do the trick.
This method should leave your trampoline mat looking fresh and clean, and no more dirty feet! It’s recommended to repeat this process once a year to not only keep your trampoline clean but keep the dirt (sap, mold, etc) from building up and possibly damaging your mat.
Happy cleaning and happy bouncing!
